Aloha Everyone!
I have been exploring the capabilities of my new 105 mm Nikon macro lens. On the test run yesterday, I discovered how difficult it is to steady the lens underwater, but when I finally got the hang of it, the resulting sharpness of the lens payed off with a flawless image. The current was flowing at Nahuna Point off the coast of Maui, which made it that much more challenging. A cleaner shrimp was busy at work on a juvenile yellow margin moray eel. As the shrimp picked away at the parasites, I snapped away with my camera, a Nikon D200 with an Aquatica housing and an Inon strobe Z240 at full power. Using speed 80 @f7.1, I took three shots, one of which resulted in the image I share with you today.
Aloha
Benja
